SERVER POLICY
The Killing Zone's primary purpose is to provide a fun, fair-play environment for Half Life gamers. All players are expected to behave in a manner which promotes fair play and an enjoyable environment. To maintain this environment, certain policies will be enforced by the servers administrators ("admins"). Anyone who enters the server and plays on them agree to abide by the individual servers policies.
Administrators
Admins are present to ensure that the gaming environment is fair and fun for the majority of players, and have full authority to decide both what constitutes a policy violation and how to deal with it. Nothing will result in disciplinary action faster than willfully ignoring the request of an admin.

Admins act as player-referees. When a situation arises that requires intervention, an admin will cease being concerned with his or her own game play and address the issue at hand. The The Killing Zone's admins take great care to avoid being overly restrictive or overbearing. If the following policy is adhered to in spirit, admins will never need to take an authoritative position in-game.
Cheating
Cheating is defined as any act of exploiting software or hardware that gives a player or team an unfair advantage over their opponents. This includes wallhacks, aimbots, cvar modifications, OGC or other cheat mods, spectator coaching and anything else that violates the spirit of fair play. Evidence of cheating will result in an immediate, permanent ban from the server. Please notify the server admins if you suspect someone is cheating.

Additionally, admins have the ability to execute client-side commands in order to confirm the presence of a cheat or maintain an appropriate environment on the server. By using the server, players agree to any and all client-side command executions made by admin.

While the position against cheating cannot be emphasized strongly enough, we also hold to the idea that crying "cheat" without strong evidence adds chaos and disruption to the game. Please make sure you have a reasonable suspicion of cheating based on specific activity before you accuse someone of cheating (i.e. - getting owned by someone does not justify accusing them of cheating).
Use of Exploits
Exploits involve capitalizing upon bugs or inconsistencies in the game code or map that creates an unintended consequence or unfair advantage. Use of any type exploit on the The Killing Zone server is strictly forbidden .

Some common unallowed TFC exploits are as follows: ceiling nailgren exploit - the thin texture exploit - timerefresh exploit - non-manual bunnyhopping - gas/emp/conc through ceilings. Using grenades of any kind to propel through entities not intended to be passed though (including, but not limited to: lasers, push entities, trigger_hurt entities).

Please note that the following ARE acceptable TFC exploits (though exploit may be a misnomer, as several of the following are by design): gliding, strafe jumping, conc and rocket jumping.

Some comman HL2 Death Match exploits that are not allowed are: Use of the stunstick/grav gun methos to jump up into or on areas in maps that are not intended to be gained access to and the use of map makers errors to gain access to areas where you can shoot people but they can't see you.

Respawn spamming/camping/blocking
Repeated spamming/camping or blocking of the respawn area(s) is lame and will result in administrative action.
Common Area Spamming/Camping
Repeated spamming/camping of the common areas is unsportsmanlike and will result in administrative action.
Team Shooting/Killing
Repeated, intentional acts of team killing or inflicting team damage will resulting in administrative action.
Rude or Disruptive Behavior
Good natured trash talking is part of any game, and is allowed. However, when it uses foul language becomes personal, constant, obscene, degrading, racist it will most likely result in a kick or timed ban by a server administrator.

Some actions that are considered disruptive behavior are as follows: Use of inflammatory names, using obscene sprays, conducting repeated message spamming, using inappropriate player names and many others.

If a player displays rude or disruptive behavior while playing on the server it most likely will result in administrative action being taken against them by a server administrator.

General Conduct Expectations
As a player on the server you are expected to show a certain level of decency & respect to the people you are playing with. If you practice the old saying "Do unto others as you would have done to yourself" then you'll probably never have an issue.

Any kind of actions or communication that interrupts the flow of game play or disrupts a specific player from participating in normal game play is not allowed.

In addition all players are expected to show respect to the the servers admins and follow their instructions at all times, regardless if you think they are right or wrong.

Failure to adhere to the any of the above stated general conduct expectations above could result in administrative action being taken against you by a server administrator.
Clans/League/Guild Affiliation Information
The server holds no official clan/league/guild affiliations. Clan/league/guild recruitment is prohibited on the server. There is also not to be any clan/league/guild organized usage of the server. Clan/guild/league members are welcome to come play on the server at any time but will face administrative action if they use the server in any way shape or form to promote or conduct their gaming related organizations activities.

Repeated advertisements for a clan/league/guild or for any other gaming related organization made by players on the server is grounds for immediate administrative action by a server administrator.
